I like a good ol’ bandwagon

So that’s why I’m going to jump on this weeks version – The “Let’s all have a good dig at Throw-In”

First things first, Bugger the forums and the content – everybody has discussed that until they are blue in the face.

My bug bear is the staff. Yep, every single one of them. Why is it that every negative thing that is written about them they have to read form the “party script”.

Don’t get me wrong – it’s great that such a staff team is united as one and comes out to defend each other but “OMG u slagged off me bitch, die you chav” get’s boring after the 2nd staff member weighs in let alone the 10th.

Where are the days of differing opinions? Everytime someone slates TI, every staff member writes the same old recycled rubbish more than likely not even reading what has been said.

Taking example of the replies means that there is nothing wrong with TI, They don’t don’t over moderate some areas and blatantly don’t under moderate others. The content is the best on the scene. And they have the best Mojo on the scene.

Quite frankly I believe nothing in that last paragraph – but that’s what the staff believe.

So in essence, The Damn Scene had it pretty much spot on that if you’re not a TI Fanboy then you ain’t nothing at TI.

Hmm, I agree with this, everything except the last paragraph about the Damn scene having things correct.

The staff do get far too defensive when TI is criticised from an outside site, and they should attempt to take some of it on board, instead of as Slayer said “laughing at it”

    Decent article there Qski :)

And you’d know all too well, wouldn’t you Q? Being labelled the scene whore and all that.

Some people seriously need a reality check. I found this after browsing the scene forum so you can’t declare in your own little head that we’ve got a thread going in the staff room labelled ‘OMG WE’RE GETTING SLATED AGAIN!”

We’re basically a site on the scene doing a job others do. Hell, we might be a tad strict in some areas but that’s because we want to succeed and help others, not because we think in terms of “me me me, I I I, self self self”

You get a buzz jumping on the bandwagon eh Q?

You took the above that seriously then?

  5. Comment by Ash:

Aye, and I’m sure you would if your site (one which has lasted for over a year, btw) was being slated left right and center.

[...] Grab the pitchforks It appears that it’s a popular trend at the moment to launch an attack against top FM Fansite Throw In. Yesterday a new site launched entitled “The Damn Scene”, which appears to be intent on openly criticizing sites and individuals and causing general controversy. One such attempt to do just that is the sites latest article, a blatant attack on Throw In, which has once again seen the sites staff come out in a defensive manner. Now for a second time in two days Throw In are under attack via another article, courtesy of Saint and Greavsie who appear to have more of a grievance with individuals than the site as a whole. Bang goes all hope of us hippy types bringing together some kind of harmony to the community. Nonetheless like a proverbial soap opera it will be more than entertaining to see how things turn out and whether or not Throw In will use any of this attention constructively. However bringing things back to FGN, i’ve got the second part in my series of articles looking at FM Fansite ideas for wannabe webmasters. This particular article looks at someone wishing to create a specialist tactics site. [...]
