Yesterday a new site launched entitled “The Damn Scene”, which appears to be intent on openly criticizing sites and individuals and causing general controversy. One such attempt to do just that is the sites latest article, a blatant attack on Throw In, which has once again seen the sites staff come out in a defensive manner. Now for a second time in two days Throw In are under attack via another article, courtesy of Saint and Greavsie who appear to have more of a grievance with individuals than the site as a whole. Bang goes all hope of us hippy types bringing together some kind of harmony to the community. Nonetheless like a proverbial soap opera it will be more than entertaining to see how things turn out and whether or not Throw In will use any of this attention constructively. However bringing things back to FGN, i’ve got the second part in my series of articles looking at FM Fansite ideas for wannabe webmasters. This particular article looks at someone wishing to create a specialist tactics site. Being labelled the scene whore and all that. Some people seriously need a reality check. I found this after browsing the scene forum so you can't declare in your own little head that we've got a thread going in the staff room labelled 'OMG WE'RE GETTING SLATED AGAIN!" We're basically a site on the scene doing a job others do. Hell, we might be a tad strict in some areas but that's because we want to succeed and help others, not because we think in terms of "me me me, I I I, self self self" You get a buzz jumping on the bandwagon eh Q? Some people seriously need a reality check. I found this after browsing the scene forum so you can’t declare in your own little head that we’ve got a thread going in the staff room labelled ‘OMG WE’RE GETTING SLATED AGAIN!”
